Girls’ Leadership Institute
Kent Place Voices

Ninety-nine percent of girls’ school alumnae felt more or equally prepared to interact with faculty compared with their peers who attended co-ed schools (National Coalition of Girls’ Schools survey, 2005).

The Girls’ Leadership Institute (GLI) offers girls entering 7th and 8th grade, the opportunity to explore their leadership potential.

Summer 2010 | August 2 - 6, 2010

Each girl will discover and develop her own unique leadership style through a broad range of hands-on activities. Participants will enjoy the challenges of a ropes course, serve in the community, work closely with high school mentors, and interact with adult women, who will share their personal and professional leadership journeys.

The Institute, a five day, four night residential program, takes place on the beautiful 26-acre campus of Kent Place School in Summit. The Institute is designed to teach leadership skills that strengthen girls’ confidence and self-esteem. The program inspires each participant to discover her own voice and develop her own personal leadership goals.
